The Radiant Heat Protection Performance Tester, commonly referred to as the RPP Thermal Protection Performance Tester, is used to determine the radiant heat protection performance of single or multi-layer textiles or other materials used to protect clothing or components from radiant heat.

This tester is a limited applicable tool for assessing the potential for second degree skin burns of textiles.
