The quenching and tempering treatment of EN 55NiCrMoV7 alloy steel is as follows: I.

Quenching treatment

• The quenching temperature is usually between 840 - 860°C.

This temperature range allows the alloying elements in the steel to fully dissolve into the austenite, laying the foundation for obtaining good quenching structure and performance.

• Polymer solution quenching: Polymer solutions (such as polyetherimide, etc.

) have good cooling characteristics and can adjust the cooling rate according to different concentrations.

It cools faster than oil quenching, can obtain higher hardness, and can also reduce the deformation and cracking tendency of the workpiece to a certain extent.

Tempering treatment

• The tempering temperature of EN 55NiCrMoV7 alloy steel is generally between 500 - 650°C.

Tempering within this temperature range can eliminate quenching stress, stabilize the structure and size, and improve the toughness of the steel.

• After appropriate quenching and tempering treatment, EN 55NiCrMoV7 alloy steel has high hardness, strength, toughness and wear resistance.

Its tensile strength can reach over 1100MPa, its hardness can reach around 42HRC, and it also has good impact resistance, making it suitable for manufacturing various high-performance molds and mechanical parts.
