High Carbon Medium Chromium Gb Cr5mo1v Steel Fabrication - China

Cr5Mo1V is a high-carbon, medium-chromium, micro-deformation air-quenched cold-working die steel and alloy tool steel.

The American steel imported into this steel series has good air-quenching performance, small dimensional deformation during air-quenching, uniform carbide distribution, certain impact toughness and relatively high wear resistance.

The steel has good hardenability, which is extremely beneficial for complex molds that must maintain their shape after quenching and tempering.

The deformation caused by air quenching of this steel is only about 1/4 of manganese-containing oil-quenched tool steel.

Its resistance is between manganese type and high carbon and high chromium type tool steel.

Its toughness is excellent, better than 9Mn2V and Cr12 - .

The spheroidizing annealing temperature of this steel is 820 ~ 860°C; the quenching temperature should not exceed 950°C while ensuring that more carbon and alloy elements are dissolved in the austenite; the quenching cooling method should be oil cooling.
