The production of cassava starch comprises the steps such as delivery and unloading cassava, washing, crushing, extracting, de-sanding, concentrating, de-watering, drying and starch packing.

We have provided following a brief description on the main steps of the tapioca starch production process and win the national patent.

1 - Feeding and Transfer

Driven by speed adjustable motor, flow rate can be automatic controlled from long-distance.

Depend on actual material condition to adjust how much input and output material.

2 - Cleaning and Peeling

Mainly used for washing process to remove sand, stone or other impurities.

3 - Grinding

Here we use two steps ( firstly use the above knife-type crusher to piece cassava into small particles; then put small particles to the bellow machine hammer miller to make it finer) to broken cells of cassava and release starch as much as possible.

4 - Centrifugal extracting

Separate plasm and dregs, mainly used to remove fibre and other impurities from cassava pulp.

Advanced surface treatment technology ensuring good looking and resistance of oil and dirt.

5 - Desanding

To remove sand or other sundries.

6 - Concentration and refining

Working through the hydro-cyclone, there are 2 steps including concentration and refining so that we can get purier starch slurry.

7 - Vacuum dewatering

The speed of rotating drum can be adjusted according to actual site.

Widely used for separation of suspension in starch processing, after dehydration starch content water below 38%.

8 - Air steam flash drying

The freezing air becomes dry hot blast through the hot blast stove, which is appearing as suspended state with bulk material.

It causes the gas and solid to go forward at higher speed in parallel.

At the same time the water is vaporized in order to dry material.
