20MnCr5 alloy steel processing technology:

Forging: 20MnCr5 alloy steel needs to be heated to a suitable temperature range during forging.

Generally, the initial forging temperature is 1100-1150°C, and the final forging temperature is not less than 850°C to ensure that the steel has good forging performance and uniformity of structure.

Heat treatment: 20MnCr5 alloy steel usually adopts heat treatment processes such as quenching and tempering to improve its mechanical properties.

The quenching temperature is generally 850-880°C, oil-cooled quenching, and the tempering temperature is selected between 550-650°C according to specific requirements to obtain a good combination of strength, toughness and fatigue performance.

Cutting: The cutting performance of this steel is good, but during the processing, it is necessary to pay attention to the selection of appropriate tools and cutting parameters to ensure processing quality and efficiency.

Generally speaking, the cutting speed can be selected between 50 - 150m/min, and the feed rate between 0.1 - 0.3mm/r, depending on factors such as tool material and workpiece diameter.
