ASTM T15 steel hot working specification

Annealing specifications: annealing temperature 820-870℃, furnace cold.

Quenching and tempering specifications: preheating temperature 1220-1240℃, holding time 24s/mm, quenching temperature is selected according to 3 conditions, holding time 12-15s/mm, oil cooling, tempering temperature 550-570℃, tempering three times, 1 hour each time, air cooling, hardness ≥ 62HRC.

ASTM T15 steel application

Due to the high tungsten content, it has high wear resistance and is suitable for precision stamping dies.

Especially when the workpiece is prone to wear or the service life is not long enough, T15 steel can be used instead.

It is recommended to use it on stamping parts where the thickness of the workpiece is the smallest.

It is best not to exceed 2.5mm.
