    DIN HS6-5-2 material characteristics

    High hardness and wear resistance: the hardness can reach HRC 62-64 after quenching and tempering.

    Good red hardness: it can still maintain high hardness at high temperature, suitable for high-speed cutting.

    Good toughness: strong impact resistance, suitable for manufacturing various cutting tools.

    DIN HS6-5-2 material application

    Cutting tools: such as drills, milling cutters, turning tools and saw blades.

    Molds: used for cold working molds, hot working molds and plastic molds.

    Other tools: such as knives, cutting tools, punches, etc.

    DIN HS6-5-2 material heat treatment

    Annealing: the temperature is about 850-880℃, and after a period of heat preservation, it is cooled with the furnace, and the hardness can be reduced to HB≤255.

    Quenching: heated to 1180-1230℃, oil cooling or air cooling, the hardness can reach HRC 62-64.

    Tempering: usually carried out at 560-600℃, and the hardness can be maintained at around HRC 62 - Songshun specialized in Special Steel for almost 20 years.
