Non-dynamic film refers to a thin film formed by oxidation of chromium.

Because chromium is more susceptible to oxidation than iron, an oxide film is formed first.

The non-dynamic film formed on the surface has a protective effect and prevents the iron from being oxidized (i.e. rusted).

SUS does not rust easily because it contains chromium.

Generally speaking, as long as the chromium content exceeds 11%, a non-dynamic film will be formed.

Even if SUS is impacted and the non-dynamic film is temporarily destroyed, it will be quickly re-formed, so the corrosion resistance will not be easily lost and the material will not rust.
