GB 50CrVA alloy steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium material with high hardenability, high hardness and good wear resistance.

Its carbon content is 1.45%~1.70%, chromium content is 11.00%~12.50%, molybdenum content is 0.40%~0.60%, and vanadium content is 0.15%~0.30%.

The addition of these alloying elements significantly improves the hardenability and wear resistance of the steel, making it suitable for manufacturing high-load springs, molds and tools, etc.

Turning Processing Guide

- It is recommended to use carbide tools such as IC8150 or IC807 - These tools have high hardness and wear resistance and can effectively cope with the high hardness of 50CrVA steel.

- Avoid using high-speed steel tools because of their insufficient hardness and wear resistance.

Milling Processing Guide

- It is recommended to use indexable carbide milling cutters such as IC830 or IC808 - These tools have high hardness and wear resistance and are suitable for processing high-hardness materials.

- Avoid using ordinary carbon steel knives due to their insufficient hardness and wear resistance.
