Performance characteristics of D3 steel

(1) High hardness

After quenching and tempering, the hardness can reach 62-64 HRC, which is suitable for high-intensity wear conditions.

(2) Excellent wear resistance

Due to the high carbon and high chromium content, D3 steel performs well in dry friction and boundary lubrication environments.

(3) Dimensional stability

After heat treatment, it has good dimensional stability and is suitable for precision mold manufacturing.

(4) Corrosion resistance

The high chromium content provides certain corrosion resistance, but not as good as stainless steel.
