    KS SCr440 steel meets high-precision requirements

    KS SCr440 steel, as a commonly used alloy structural steel in Korean Standard (KS), has excellent hardness, strength and wear resistance.

    Its chemical composition is roughly equivalent to SAE 5140 or JIS SCr440 in international standards.

    It is a chromium alloy steel with the main components including medium carbon (about 0.38-0.43%) and chromium (about 0.9-1.2%).

    These characteristics enable KS SCr440 steel to achieve the following properties after appropriate heat treatment (such as quenching and tempering), thereby meeting high-precision requirements: Good dimensional stability: The structure after heat treatment is uniform and fine, reducing the risk of dimensional changes after processing, and is particularly suitable for precision mechanical parts.

    High strength and high toughness: It can maintain good shape and dimensional accuracy even when subjected to large loads.
