1.2379 steel plate process specifications

Thermal processing specifications

Start temperature 1050°C, end temperature 850°C, furnace cold.

Soft annealing specifications

Under protective gas, heat to 800~850°C, cool to 600°C at a cooling rate of 10°C/h, and then air cool.

The hardness is ≤250HBw.

Stress Relief

To eliminate the residual stress generated after rough machining, the mold should be heated to 650°C, held for 2 hours, then cooled to 500°C, and then drained out of the furnace.

Quenching and tempering specifications

The first preheating temperature is 550~600°C, and every 25mm is kept for about 30min; the second preheating temperature is 800~850°C, and every 25mm is kept for about 30min; the austenitizing temperature is 975~1040°C, and every 25mm is kept for about 30min.

30min, oil (40~70°C) or gas cooling, temper immediately after cooling to 50~70mm.

1) Low-temperature tempering: Tempering temperature 150 ~200℃, every 25mm should be kept for more than about 60mín, empty, hardness ≥61HRC.

For low-temperature tempering, a lower austenitizing temperature of 975 ~1025°C should be used.

2) High-temperature tempering: Tempering temperature is 480~540℃, hold for more than 60 minutes every 25mm, air cooling, tempering more than twice, hardness ≥58HRC.

For high temperature tempering, a higher austenitizing temperature of 1000 ~1040°C should be used.

Aging processing specifications

The aging temperature is 110 ~140°C and the heat preservation time is 25 ~100h to ensure the dimensional stability of the workpiece during use.
