JIS NCF 600 steel bar hot forming: We recommend that the forming should be carried out at a temperature below 600℉ as much as possible.

When hot forming, the entire workpiece should be heated as a whole, and it should be done within the temperature range of 1750℉ to 2250℉.

JIS NCF 600 steel bar is very soft at this temperature.

JIS NCF 600 steel bar is prone to heat tearing if the temperature is too high.

If it is lower than this temperature, austenite will fracture.

Below 1700°, intermetallic phases will form quickly due to the influence of temperature and deformation.

After hot forming, it should be immediately solid solution annealed at a temperature as low as 1900°F and quenched to restore its phase balance, toughness and corrosion resistance.

We do not recommend stress relief, but if this must be done, the material should be solution annealed at a temperature as low as 1900" and then rapidly cooled for water quenching.
